How can I free up RAM?

I'm familiar with "GlobalMemoryStatus", so I can monitor the RAM usage from my program. Now I want to be able to free up some RAM from my program (move it to the swap file...). How can I do than in VB? Is there any API that can do this for me?

Frankly, you really don't want to try this in VB, even with API calls...

Why not? It's not safe for the system (WIN 98)?
I'm working on a project that can tell what is loaded in RAM and I want to be able to move some of it to the swap file.
The problem is that I can't find any API that can do this...
