Does anyone knoq how I can forward on an email as an attachment. I need it to do this as I have a function which will loop through certain crirea of the email ie. Date sent, subject etc.

I need to then create a new email with all the emails that match the criteria and forward them on, as attachments to some one else.

Help greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Neemi

How about saving the email to disk , then attaching to your new email

You are asking to do mutually exclusive things.

"Forward on" means sending as email.
"attachment" means attaching a file.

It has to one, or the other. If you want them as attachments....they have to be files. Then they can be attached to an email. If you want to forward them on, then they are still emails. So, as Chance states...save them to disk.

Thanks for the responses.

Currently I manually select the emails whilst holding the control key down so I can select more that one email. Then I right click and select forward items, which puts the selected emails into a new email message as attachments.

Are you saying that I cannot automate this without saving the messages as files first ie. as .msg files? and then attaching them?

Cheers,
Neemi

I cant think of anything straight away but have a look at the mailitem property and forward method .

Using right click on selected items, and then forward DOES make .msg files. So yes, they are being forwarded AS FILES. Can't really look at this immediately, but as Chance suggests, try playing with MailItem and Forward.

Do you have any existing code to start with?
