i need to know which version of USB i have. i am on XP. is there a utility that can do this?

thanks

Just go onto your motherboard manufactures website and look at your models specification, this information should also be in your manual, if you have one.
USB2 has really only become mainstream in the last 3-4 months, so if your motherboard is over 6months old it is unlikely that you have USB2 and near certain that you have USB1. Martin Replying helps further our knowledge, without comment leaves us wondering.

Just thought I would mention that PCI to USB2 cards are available for as little as £16, $22? the type we sell has 2 ports and because it has it's own controller it doesn't effect onboard USB1 in any way.
