When I right-clicked on a folder in a Windows Explorer window, a context menu popped up filled with items I never bothered to use . This context menu is getting atrociously long , exceeding the height of the 17" screen monitor !! How can I delete items on this menu ?

Please advise. ( My system : Celeron 900, Win98 SE ) . Thanks...

You should make some changes in the registry file. (Make sure to make backup of your registry before making any changes.)
Go to the key: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT --> * --> shellex --> ContextMenuHandlers
You'll see the list of items in the right click menu. Delete anyone you want.

Thanks, Laleh, for the great tip ! It worked fine although not completely cleaning up the context menu. I also needed to use "Registry Crawler v4.0" to go to

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT --> Directory -->Shell

to locate additional programs to delete. After this, the context menu is clean, slim and light as a feather !!

Thanks again, Laleh !
