Hello all,

I have a user in the office who wishes to create a meeting request for a group of people on the west coast. We are located on the east coast - so the meeting should be at 8am their time, 11am our time.

In outlook - If he schedules the meeting for 8am, will it show as 5am their time or 8am their time.

Is the solution to simply schedule the meeting for 11am our time so it shows up as 8am their time?

Hope this makes sense! Thanks for any help!

Sam

skhoury,
Outlook should adjust the time automatically.

If I remember correctly in earlier versions of Outlook the time didn't get adjusted until the meeting was accepted by the recipient (I spent several months showing up early for meetings before I realized this).

Hope this helps,
CMP

Well, it turns out that you should always use your local time as a reference point.

So, after googleing around the following example seems to answer my problem:

if I set up a meeting with someone in California for 8am their time, then I should setup the meeting for 11am my time because Outlook is based off of UTC.
