Some time ago, an event occurred (probably related to a Windows 98 reinstallation), which changed the current system year to 2019. I didn't notice the error for a week or two, during which I accumulated many email and Microsoft Office documents, all with incorrect dates associated. This caused a problem first with Outlook Express, in which I usually have all messages sorted by date received or sent. After I corrected my system date I located the .dbx file where my email is stored and opened it in WordPad. I then searched for all occurrances of 2019 in the file, and edited them.
Recently I have installed Enfish Personal, an application that indexes all documents on a system. Lists of documents can then be displayed in windows, and, similarly to Outlook, I normally have the documents sorted by date created. All the documents with the incorrect year attached are shown at the top of the list. Can someone please tell me how to change the creation date of an Office document?
We must become the change we want to see. (Ghandi)
