How can a DN get changed?? Help getting it back

Hello friends:

Well, here's an anomalie for you:

The system I last set up had the receptionist console as ext. 221. I set it up that way, and did the voice mail programming that way.

I got a call from the site today that said that NOW, the receptionist phone is coming up as 222!!! I asked them if they screwed with anything, and of course, they said, "No, we wouldn't know what to do." I don't believe it.

Is there somewhere in system programming that I can go to change the DN of a particular extension - in this case, BACK to what it should be?

Check if you allow moviong set in program oprions.

If yes your customer had swap his phone with extension 222.

If you dial 221, what's appening, no service or it ring to an other extension?

you can get it back in sytem configuration menu in Change DN menu.

If the customer has set relocation enabled then all you will have to do is move the sets back to the location they came from or were moved too.

Hi there new man on line. Odds on fav ... set relocation is on. Have had multiples where other users have changed sets (didn't like color) Best bet depending on on system you have ....check under maintenance which ports have what DN 's...turn set relocation off and flip your jumpers (record what you do). If your customer wants to be able to use set relocation instruct him/her one set at a time and confirm with feature*0 looking for ext # not just date. Only 50% chance the right ext. will come up if both plugged in at same time.
