Interested in how others are using ip phones and ip remote agent via softphones. Need ideas for reusing spare licenses. Thanks ahead for your thoughts.

We are putting in a call center for Verizon using an Avaya in conjuction with their existing Meridian. Calls will come in as an IP agent on their desktop & then be transferred to the Meridian set via tie trunks between the 2. Sounds awkward, but it seems to work.

Thanks for your idea. This is great. You hit it right on the nailhead and covered something we are trying to do as well. We need to tie together a Definity system and a Nortel system for agents to be able to take calls regarding a variety of existing products via the Nortel and new products to be serviced via the Definity.

Any other info on how you set up your tie line would be appreciated. Or, was it a standard tie trunk group config.
