Hi Guys,

I was wondering if anyone out there knew of a program or a way to "capture" a system state like Registry and file/folder directory structures and save it to a file like maybe a txt or something. Then later be able to compare it to another file.

For example, I found this program and I'm not sure what it does. So I would like to be able to save the current system state/configuration to a file, install this unknown program, then afterwards take another "capture" of the system state/configuration to compare with the earlier one to see what was changed.

I've found freeware that will capture the state of my hardware and file directories but nothing for registry. I was just wondering if anyone out there knew of a better way.

Thanks,
