Hotmail

Ive got a computer that has a standard corporate build of Win 2k Professional running. I can access all contents of the web without a problem but I am having problems with the hotmail.com site

when i type in my username and password, the site does not allow me access to my inbox but instead after taking a while returns the page " this site is temporarily not available, please try again later etc etc"

I know for a fact this is due to sum restriction imposed by my company and it is nothing to do with my user profile as I can access the site no problem from all the other computers in my office.

Is there any way I can overcome this? i have admin rights to my computer.

can you access any https sites? if you notice, after you logon to hotmail it switches from http to https. You may not have access to https (secure) websites if some type of HTTP proxy is running on your network.

OK, this is really weird.....but i thought of trying it through Netscape Navigator and its logged me on....so it sounds like IE6 browser problem, but not too bothered now....as long as i can check my hotmail while being at work for a few mins, im happy.
