Hello, I'm having a problem with a hosting site (godaddy). I keep getting a 401 Access Denied error. I precompiled my application and have deployed it to a server at my house and a server here at work and both have run fine.

The godaddy support techs have been absolutely no help. They did however put a test page out there and it worked. The simply placed the aspx page in my ftp directory and that is it. There is no web.config file in the directory, which leads me to believe that it is located at a higher level than what I have access to (as I believe this to be the problem). Does anyone have any suggestions for this (other than finding a new hosting company)?

Thanks,

J

I use to host 5 websites, 3 of them in asp.net 2.0 and 2 in asp. I have not had any problems with their services.
their support team is excellent and their prices are very affordable.

give them a shout and ask them about your requirements before you sign up if you like what you see on they offer.

Good luck
