I’m trying to change the hostid on an Ultra10 Sparc from 80xxxxxx to 83xxxxxx. It successfully changed but still registered 80xxxxxx instead of 83xxxxxxx . I’m currently running Sol7 with Openboot version 3.19.4. Trying to install software that’s looking for the unique hosted.

afaik you will need to change the ID in the NVRAM, there is no software solution
