Host Headers not working

Hello all,
Im having a little problem with my staging server. I am running quite a few websites on this server and this morning I found that I can not get to the websites via the host header name (ie site1.stage.domain.com) but if I put an individual port on the site and go to the site (ie 192.168.25.1:88) then I get to it no problem.

Here is the interesting problem. I tried stage.domain.com which has a site, and that worked just fine. Ive done nslookups, tracerts and everything looks fine except for the "site1.stage.domain.com" It just seems like my server just doent like the host header names anymore? Any Ideas out there?

Thanks

Mel

Just a SWAG... What happens if you put in site1.stage.domain.com:88? do you get there? If so, not a DNS issue. Sounds like you would have to create a redirector so that when users point to site1...... they get redirected to port 88.

What port do you have your host header value on? Sounds like the HH value is not bound to port 88.

Hope This Helps,

Good Luck!

I think that we have determained that the problem is with IIS. Actually its kind of a blessing in disguise since Ive been screaming to rebuild our staging webserver anyways. So tomorrow night I get too.

Thanks again

Mel
