Hi,

I downloaded oracle10g and installed it on an XP machine.
I want to import a schema to my database. I used EM to go to the maintenance tab, export ( but there I was asked for host credentials - username and password.
I tried all the usernames and passwords defined on the database and on my XP machine ( including Administrator ) , but it keeps telling me that I haven't supplied the correct credentials.
What username should I write?

Thanks.

P.S: I also have a version installed on a Linux box, and if i supply it a valid system user, it works.

Em is still, I think, a work in progress. Too many layers could be involved with an imp such that the true error is being obscured (see if a log was created). Sorting out the ports needed by 10g can be quite a problem if a port conflict has occurred.

To simplify, I would shell out to the dos prompt and try an imp (imp help=y for details), if for nothing else just to see what error is returned. A possible problem is that the source User is a different level (say dba) than the destination User is.
