Home Folder Mapping (Inconsistent)

I have a strange problem with home folder mapping:

If a user logs onto a Windows XP Pro computer thier home folder may or may not map. If the user logs off and back on a second time the home folder will always map.

Very annoying.

Any ideas?
 
How is the mapping done? (we are talking domain?) - eg, login script, AD, User manager?
 
Our mapping is done through Active Directory Users and Computers. However, I am experimenting with Group Policy logon scripts to see if that works more consistently (or possibly use both).
 
The default is for the mapping to be persistant, and you are likely experiencing an error on the re-mapping request. You need to turn off the persistant setting for these directories using the /persistant:No paramter of the Net Use command. A good discussion of the issue can be found here under Mappping:
