Callers being transferd to huntgroups
HOLD music is not playing.
I know that hold music can be limited to the number of conference ports that we have in system.

Question is there a way for me to look at the conference ports and tell if they are busy.

If the call is answered and then transferred, I don't think they'll get music unless you turn it on for internal calls

Calls come into receptions, then are transfered to hunt groups in most cases.

How do you turn it on for internal calls?

Isn't a hunt group ringing until someone answers?

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

Yes Hunt Groups just ring until answered

It's not getting any smarter out there. You have to come to terms with stupidity, and make it work for you.

internal music is in the ftr_data block.. prt that in 21 change it in 15 BUT you still will not get music on transfer to a hunt group,, you get ringback.. you can have music when transfered to an acd group and that is done in ld 23... usually transfer to an acd you get ringback, then a recording (1st ran) then music.. you can get just music as well

Once the call is transferred the caller does get ring back, then they receive message about "Monitor" and "Maybe Recorded". Once they hear the message they should hear hold music.

If a call just rings and rings and rings would that mean the call never got to the huntgroup? Would that be a sign that the acd script for the huntgroup was never started?

Acd and Huntgroup are two very different things, either you have one or the other, which is it?

so you are getting a recording.. as stated that is an acd feature... if you can not tell acd from a hunt group, you need your vendor... hunt groups do not USUALLY give frrt... i could play a msg then transfer to a hunt group, but if that is the case, someone built a workaround that we can not see from here

Ok this is what I have found

MAS LinkHandler port#2 service was not running on Symposium. This is needed to connect with recordings on Callpilot.

Once I started the MAS LinkHandler port#2 on Symposium, and restarted the Callpilot Access protocol emulator service on Callpilot, voice messages started to work.

The way our scripts run after checking for agent count, emergency ID, etc, we play a message about “recording” before we give the MOH.

When I posed the question I was trying to figure out where the caller was. If they heard the “record” message then I know they made it to the hunt group script. .

When you state
“ACD and Huntgroup’s are two very different things” what do you mean. I have used them in conjunction before. Please explain.

Are you refereeing to ACD being the on the PBX, and huntgroup's being part of symposium? We use symposium for our daily routing, with the PBX as a fall back.

I am still learning the system please explain so I may better understand
