We are looking to send email newletters with html pages and was wondering what limitations there were with the html.
Things we are assuming-
- no scripting
- absolute links to all external files
- text only version of the emails
Is it a case of if the email client can view and has HTML turned on then it will show all the html, ordo you need to treat it like another browser which may have its own idiosynchratic way of dispaying html?
Is this HTML4? XHTML?
Does it render CSS 100% or oly some elements?
Do you need to treat outlook like another browser-i.e
Any views on this much appreciated (or if I am in an inappropriate forum where shall I go?)
Thanks in advance
