Is there any way that I can save commands on history file under Bourne shell environment as other shells?

Thanks

There isn't any built in history, but if you execute script in your .profile, the command you type (and their output) will be saved to a file - by default called typescript. You cannot, however, recall the commands as in, say, ksh.

HTH.
