never works if you do not have a history file..

i had a switch with a loop 13 once, back in the qpc days.. i did not know the installer but he used loop zero and 13

Thanks as always John, Loop13 was the handle of the guy who posted for me....! I ran the command but didnt work...ran it again and it did. Got my history file off ok thanks.
Needed it because my switch CS1000 MG Rel.5 decided to INIT this morning after I had tweaked the TIME (STAD)....Needed to see if any errors were being thrown up but couldnt find any....! strange.

DepLists

I think I recall seaing a patch in the Dep that dealt with that. Buddy of mine saw a presentation at the DAC last week that showed 44% of tickets into ETAS were solved by loading the current DepList.

I say make sure you are current before trying anything else.

The deplists aren't always a great idea!

We recently had an issue with call registers. Our Vendor threw the deplist at us first and then all heck broke loose! Took over a week to get everything calmed down and back to normal running our old patch list!

I don't think you should install patches unless you have an issue myself.

i do not run without the latest dep list, i guess the lesson would be you need a vendor that you can trust

My main issue was that following a recent upgrade to release 5, I noticed my clock was losing around 5 mins per week. I have tweaked the positive side slightly and am now pretty much bang on but for a minor tweak this morning that resulted in the INIT. It can be debated I guess if I need a patch for this (or indeed if there is one....?) when it seems that the Clock/Time is now correct.

i do not know of a patch for the clock.. you ini'ed when adjusting the clock?.. the reason i ask is we are going to 5.0 and i sync the clock to the network every time i log in (script)

What where the INI Errors that the system output?????????

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

I had just changed the time and did the following
.ttad MON 07 04 2008 10 13 05

then the INI started...
