So pretty much, if something fails you can get it fixed, you can get routine moves and changes done if you're not doing them yourself, but pretty much any other software problem their response is going to be "Upgrade to the current release first, and if the problem still exists we will address it then".... Even V6 is almost done - with the most recent 2016 date thing they only released a patch for the latest release of V6 - anything else you have to use the MOP, and in V7 you have to be R1.8.39 or higher at the moment. That's the thing that sucks with all the new stuff. Back in the old days you dust plopped the stuff in there and it worked, and very little changed, but now everything is software-based, and just like Windows the version changes are neverending - except Microsoft lets you get away with a lot more than any of the PBX manufacturers do!
