highlighting all row/col dependant on active cell?

Hi,

Is there a way (without writing a macro) of highlighting all values in the current row/column that is selected (excel 2000).

i.e.

if cell was selected that all values in column b and row 5 have a conditional format?

AFAIK, not without code - the code is pretty simple though...

Yeh I know how to do it in code, was wondering if there was a way to do it with conditional formating?

you can easily highlight alternate rows but not dependant on the active cell...
