I want to hide some files and folders on my account so that other acounts CAN NOT see them no matter what they do, i dont want to just hide the files because you can still see them when you do that, i want them blocked out from all other acounts but mine, i am the admin for this computer running XP PRO.

Thanks

Matt

Have you looked at the properties for the folder you want to make private? Click on Sharing then the make private check box. This will Specify that only you can access the folder. When you make a folder private, you also make all the files and subfolders it contains private. This option is only available for your folders in your user profile (My Documents and its subfolders, Desktop, Start Menu, and Favorites). If you want to make a file in a private folder available to other users, you can move the file to the Shared Documents, Shared Pictures, or Shared Music folders.

ok is there any way i can move the location of the private user folders to another drive, like make the documents folders and stuff onto the d drive instead of the c drive, because i only want windows on my c partion, and i keep programs and other things on other partions.

thanks

Matt
