Have another one for you guys (you're just too good).
Our helpdesk would like to have their personal DN'd not showing up when they call back clients, for obvious reasons. I know it can be done, just can't figure out how. Any clues?? thanks

Sorry, guess I have found what I was looking for. Will test tomorrow. CLS=ddgd ?? any comments on this?

Change the CLID on the 0 to the main number
ie:
KEY x SCR 1234 0

Thanks Ace...don't think CLID would have done the trick for this, since it's only for internal call. Actually, cls=DDGD does exactly what it should, hides your DN inside the shop to who ever you would call. Thanks again

You're right Ace, I didn't mention this, sorry! And to say that I tell people to be more specific in their question ...now look at me!!! LOL

cls=DDGD is good for my needs. Funny how many of us never think to change some defaults in cls, right&!!

Many thanks

Velcrocat,

If your outbound trunks are PRI, you might want to check on what your helpdesk agents are displaying on outbound trunk calls.

When we had our trunking changed to PRI a number of years ago, I did some testing on what would be displayed for various different scenarios. I found that sets with DDGD in CLS would show as "Private Name - Private Number" or something similar, and phones with Anonymous Call Blocking set up would block the call.

I got around it by setting up a CLID index to show no number (HLCL is null, and DIDN is NO). With that CLID, the calling number shows as "Unavailable" on a Caller ID display. Not the best, but the call gets past Anonymous Call Blocking.

Nice to bring this up Telephonist - never thought of that. More checking on Monday than....

Thanks a bunch!!
