Might someone know how to hide the actual dialed number from the user when using an Abbreviated Dial button? Don't want disable the 4620 display, just don't want the user to see the number being speed dialed. I have 100s of these so I do not want to use a VDN/Vector. Tried using abbreviate dial list routed through another abbreviated dial list but still see the dialed number.
Thanks

If it is a system abrv-dial list you can change the display text. In the station form, add system to one of the list and change the button assignment accordingly. Then do a cha abb sys and put in your number and what you want the display to show.

In the future everything will work...

Another way i think is to put a ~s before the digits you put in the speeddiallist. i know it works with an autodial button on the stations

I use ~s in front of the number in the abbreviated dial list as well.

Ah hah, the old ~s trick.
Works great. Thanks

What is ~s on the number pad?

In the future everything will work...

From the help screen when changing abbreviated dialing entries...

Enter number; digits(0-9), *, #, ~p(pause), ~w/~W(wait), ~m(mark), ~s(suppress)
