Is there anyway I can hide the Target Path in a Shortcut. I need to do this for a shared access program where I dont want any user to know where the target is. Thanks

All right, bear with me for a minute as I just discovered the "target" location thingy. I never noticed it before I went looking for it after reading your post. I am wondering first of all why you don't want people to know where the file is stored? Maybe you have some other documents in there that are sensitive, but depend on that file. Perhaps you would like to keep the file together with other similar files that are more for specialized use. Since I don't have the ability to go test this stuff, I am guessing a bit about what may work.

I have a couple ideas, but I am not sure they will be relevant or work. I am wondering if you protect the folder where the file resides if that could correct your problem. Restrict the folder, but give the file all user permissions or something like that. I am not sure that the target wouldn't show, but the users shouldn't be able to access it if it were to show.

We are pretty locked down on what we can do here on our systems , I have the file hidden on the drive and I only have the database protected through the shortcut. If someone where to go to the properties on the shortcut and find the hidden database they would have full access to it. That is why I do not want the Target to show.
