Hide Scanners and Cameras in My Computer

I am going to be using USB Cameras connected to PC's through out our production areas to record video for security.

How do you hide the "Scanners and Cameras" in My Computer?

Windows XP Pro SP2 and SP3

This would probably require the an edit of the system registry and is not advised unless you know what you are doing.

Otherwise, if your PCs are on a domain, you can probably set up policies which prevent your users from even seeing and accessing the My Computer windows.
