We recently experienced a problem with our Hicom which required a default of the system. We have the DB backed up, but can't get the country code set back to the US. It appears we are using V1.0 on this system so 29-5-1 doesn't seem to be the correct area.

Here are two things you can try. Both of them are done on the memory phone or system phone, or using "online mode" in the software.

Dial the following:
*95 31994 78110370

*95 tells the system to go into programming mode
31994 is the default password
78110370 is the country code for US (those are zeroes)

Otherwise, do this from the system phone by the PBX:
(my notes do not show a *95 between *4182 and login, but...)

*4812 (sets phone to English)
31994 (username)
31994 (password)
31994 (pick new password - leave same)
31994 (confirm new password - leave same)
29 (to go to "system" menu)
use --> scroll to init
choose country
save

The first example, to the best of my knowledge is for the oldest versions of the software and the last example is for newer versions of the software. I have worked with 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0 (which is also 150H v1.0).

Hope that helps.

I've tried both of the options listed above already and neither worked. I tried entering the 78110370 and it begins beeping at the 7 and eventually says, my German is rusty, but I'm pretty sure it's that is not available at this time.

When trying *4 I get the same message at the entry of 4. I am using the first port on the system. I haven't tried it with the programming software, I've never used online mode before. I'll give that a shot and see if it does anything differently.

Hicom 150 e V1,0 is a very old system, so the password is NOT 31994 but simply 1 without any user name!

You know what - I do have some dim memory of that. It's been so long since I had v1.0 that may have slipped my mind!

Sorry if it turns out that slowed you down (

Even directly following a default by holding the blue switch on the CPU, when I enter *48 on the phone, I get "falsche eingabe"

I can get into programming dialing *95 but I only have to enter 31994 once. Entering the other codes seems to have no effect.

Then I dialed *95 and 78110370 and the system reset itself and came back up in english. Slightly different order, but looks like I may have gotten there.

Thanks for all of the suggestions!!
