hi,
I have installed a MSCS at a my customer.
Windows 2000 AdvServer + SP3; 2 nodes .
In a group I have as resources: disk, ipaddress, networkname, and some shares.
When something happens in a share (an Administrator error) as: someone change the name of the directory, someother changes permissions, or other, the following happens:
1) the resource goes offline (normal!)
2) all the group begins the failover (can I avoid this?)
3) the cluster continues to change server until one of them is powered-off
4) connecting to the cluster from a remote PC or in one of the server, the cluster does not respond.
Questions:
1) OK, I will cut the hands to someone, but the customer...
2) setting the resource "do not affect the group" is enough?
3)Is it possible tell to the group to don't do more than N failovers ?
4) are there patches or other to avoid the cluster does not respond to the clust-Admin ?
thank you
bye
