I assume that this is a recovery effort for a server...But is this an Exchange account that your trying to recover, or just internet email that would be stored on a user's profile?

If it is the later of two, then one effort would be to search for *.pst on that drive, that is the file type for personal folders, where Internet mail is held.

If that file cannot be found, then it would be benefitial to Boot up to this hard drive and logon to the account that you wish to import, and do a Import Export command on the file menu.....Export EVERYTHING (that you want) out to a PST file...then from there....boot up to the other drive...and Import (file | import / export) that PST file

If this is a server drive that held an Exchange server...then the process is more complicated...let me know if what ive provided has helped...or i will go ahead with the Exchange procedures

Hi, thanks for helping. This is not a Exchange Server and it is in fact a recover from a W2KPro Server. Relative to your help i dont have any PST file in the disk, but i know the messages are all there. Do you have any suggestion for this?, Thanks Best Regards

I assume then...that you cannot boot from that drive...the os is dead. I need to know exactly what type of account it is...and how and where it would be accessed from...

FYI...what im used to is that all messages are stored in a compacted file called a PST...so if it is not in that type of file..then ineed info on how outlook was accessed..

Hi, if you dont understand my English please replay.

This Messages are in the Adminitrator User Profile so it is the Owner of the Accounts.

I think someone break the FireWall protection and erase some Log Files and system Files, the system is dead and i am thinking to give the HDD to a win2000 expert System Administrator to tell me what´s going on, but 1st i have to restore all Mail archive.

I was using both Outlook 2000 and Outlook Express for multiple Mail Accounts(7) using Internet mail only. This messages have many MB of information with Messagens and Attached Files.

Do you think something can be done?

Thanks very much
