Hi guys,

I am getting Forbidden messages on my server. I cannot access the directories inside the root directory from the web. It says Forbidden. Everything is set to 755...what do i need to do in apache configuration to sort it out. Thanx

sorry I shud have amentioned that its having problems with directroies with cgi files.

Try adding a ScriptAlias (if the files are PERL scripts) C:\DOS:>
C:\DOS:>RUN
RUN DOS RUN!!

Hi,

Do you mean you can't run scripts or you can't view the source in those directories ?
These are mutually exclusive things. Once you have put a line in httpd.conf like :

AddHandler cgi-script .cgi .pl

.. then for any <Directory> container that has the option 'ExecCGI' apache will use mod_cgi to spawn a process that runs the script on the o/s.

Hope this helps
