Hi All,

I have the following 3 problems:

1. My PC will run Scandisk and disk analysis every time I boot it.

2. I get the following message at startup: 162-System Option not set.

3. I try to run a KODAK film application (to view my photographs). I get the message 'Cannot run application with current monitor depth'. I tried various combinations of my monitor settings, but it still doesn't work.

I have replaced my pc battery this weekend. Problem no. 1 is new.
Problem 2 exists since long.

I need your expert help.

After you replaced the battery did you go into cmos
and setup your system configurations? Sounds like you
have a Compaq?

You are right. I have a Compaq Presario 7464.

I set the BIOS. But I am not sure what should be the correct settings.
Can you please specify.

thanks .

You might want to double check to insure nothing got bump loose when you replaced the battery. Especially where the ide data cables (ribbon cables) connect to the motherboard, as they are both close to the battery. Enter cmos F10 when cursor is at the top right of screen. Make sure the date and time are set. Go into primary master and auto detect the hard drive. Make sure usb support is enabled, I am assuming that if you have the Kodak software installed then
you have a camera docking station or camera attached via usb, save and exit. Try to eliminate the 162-System Option
error first. Error #2 is probably causing Error #3 and Error
#3 might be causing Error #1
