Hi all,

I am thinking about adding a W2K Pro client to our existing NT4/Win95 network. Currently, the NT servers are all part of a domain called CORP. The win95 PC's are in a domain call BUTLER. This works well for us. NT validates all 95 log-ons and pass on the log-on script.

Will be able to keep this same relationship with a W2k client? Or will the W2k pc need to be in the same domain as the NT servers in order to have it's logon on validated and logon script run?

thanks

Which domain the win2k machine is in won't matter as long as you have trusts established between your two domains.

Thanks mcconmw,

So it is ok to have a y2k client in a domain without a server in it as long as another domain with servers in it has a trust established?

We've got some confusion somewhere. You can't have a domain without a server that is a domain controller. I am assuming now that you had all of your 95 machines in a workgroup. It sounds like your best bet is to add it to your domain unless there is a compelling reason not to.

Thanks for the info!!! This is good to know!
