Hi All,

Thanks for your time in reading this.
I am currently in the process of converting all of our manuals into Frame from Word. I have already done this successfully with two very large manuals. Yet when I tried to do a third, Frame would give me the error message:

"The Filter encountered an error and could not complete the translation"

Don't know what could be wrong. For example, I have a 6 Chapter Manual. I import Chapter 1 from Word into Frame and it can work. Then I try to import Chapter 2 but then it gives me this error message. Chapter 3 might have an error, and yet Chapter 4 works. Anyone else come across this behaviour or know of any remedies? Thanks a lot!!

Hey there,

possibly you should have a look at Adobe knowledge base doc 311082.

Hope that gives a hint in to a possible solution.

Try saving the Word file as RTF and importing that. You may have some custom formatting in Word that's throwing the filter off...
