I have a big headache trying to install a printer that it is attached to my pc, every time that my system starts i get the error message from the spooler system that it is being shut down, well i didn't have the drivers from canon for windows 2000 i downloaded it and i have tried to add a printer from the printer folfer and i get the message out of resources the printing subsystem is not available. i have read lots but still haven't found anything in how to make it avai;able even from the service...
So if any one has an idea on how to get it back without reinstalling windows 2000...

Thanks for the advice/s..!!

What type of printer are you trying to install. Is it a Lexmark.

This is only a WIN 2K fix....repeat only a WINDOWS 2000 FIX

Delete the following registry key:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments\Windows NT x86\Drivers\Version-2]

Thanks dingeycal for your help but that didn't solve the problem with the printing subsystem. i deleted the line but no help at all and i did find that my printer is hidden i found it when u go to uninstall from the control panel and it has a choice to show u the hidden hardware and there it is lol and every time that i even try to add a new hardware from the control panel tells me that there are not enough resources to run the RPC so still i have the same problem and i hope it is not because i dual boot with windows 95 or 98. I'll send a rerquest to microsoft and see if they have the solution for it i have been reading quite a lot and also involves the active directory so i hope i get help from them, i hope no one has this problem.
