Help with Site Connectors

I have had to rebuild an NT4/Exchange 5.5 Server from scratch. It was part of a multi site organisation with a micture of 5.5. & 2000 serves, over a VPN. The VPN is working fine and I have re-established the trust relationships between domain. However when I try to connect the new server build to my existing organistaion by adding a site connector to an existing server in anothr site I get a DS_E_COMMUNICATIONS_ERROR. I can ping the address using the Netbios name and have established a trust relationship between to the servers so RPC seems to be working fine. I can also add a site connector in my existing site and this creates the corresponding site connector fine but it doesn't work right - if I try to examine the properties I get the same DS_E_COMMUNICATIONS error when it tries to talk to the remote site.

Any ideas on why this and how to solve the problem would be greatfully received.

Ensure that you log on with the service account that you are using to create the site connector or use the overtride tab.
