Hi,
I have a restore that should be approximately 600MB(according to the restore manager). However the restore just keeps running forever and the size continually increases. This file at most is 1.5GB(File size cap), last night I killed the backup at 65GB.

Now for the complication, the media server that created this tape no longer exists, I am using force media restore. Other restores from this media server and client have worked just fine.

Master: windows NBU 4.5_MP6
Current Media Server: windows NBU 4.5_MP6
Old Media Server: windows NBU 4.5_MP6

you have to let netbackup find the information on tape. for instance i use lto2 and sometimes the restore will spin through 120 gigs before it gets to the position on tape that the data exists...

a little patience goes a long way in nbu
