HELP!

I recently had two versions of a word document with the same name on two different computers. Each was somewhat different. I e-mailed myself one version to the other computer, and accidentally replaced the version on that computer, which I really need back now.

Do I have any options to recover the replaced document as it looked yesterday?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Was the file on the local hard disk or are you on a network? On local disk, your only option may be to locate a file recovery program (Norton utilities, etc.) Most of them work from diskette to reduce the chances of overwriting the part of the hard drive that still contains the file. If you have to download a recovery program, do it on a different computer. Don't do anything on the computer where the file was lost, as it may be recoverable until another file overwrites it. Then look into buying a file recovery program and having it installed full-time - it will be much more reliable than Windows recycle bin.
