Hi

I am adding the second PRI card the first is used with a tie line and it is in slot 1. (Below is the CFN)

The new card will be in the second slot (card 2)

Is the card 2 loop 2?

When I try to add DCH 12 for the new PRI

TYPE CFN
ADAN NEW DCH 12
CTYP MSDL
CDNO 2

SCH3722
CDNO

Have I used the wrong loop or have I done something else wrong.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Chris

yes, slot 2 in an 11 is loop 2, what type of t-1 card, TMDI?

SCH3722
Added loops must be of the same type as DCHL.

the card is a NTAK09 same as slot 1

that is my confusion.

Chris

what kind of dch daughterboard do you have on the NTAK09?

Hi

The daughter board is a NTBK51BA

It is the same as card 1, and card one has the clock controler.

Chris

Ld 17
REQ: Chg
TYPE: cequ
TDS: <cr>
CONF: <cr>
DLOP: 24 2 esf
MODE: pri
TMDI: no
LCMT: b8s
YALM: fdl
TRSH: 00
<cr> back to REQ:

Then you can define the loop and dch

would not the command

DLOP 24 2 esf

be loop 24 with 2 channels and esf framing?

is what i have now incorrect?

DLOP NUM DCH FRM LCMT YALM T1TE TRSH
PRI 001 24 ESF B8S FDL - 00
002 24 ESF B8S FDL 0 00
Chris

24 2 esf = 24=channels loop=2 and framing=esf

Yes you got it.

That is what I always had but still the error when I try to add the DCH 12 to loop 2. It errors when I tell it card 2 in response to the CDNO prompt.

TYPE CFN
ADAN NEW DCH 12
CTYP MSDL
CDNO 2

SCH3722
CDNO

Perhaps I left a step out.

First I did DLOP

Then I went to ADAN to add the DCH

Am I leaving something out?

Chris

dlop 2 23 esf, 2 is the loop number 23 is the number of voice channels.. after the loop add the dch then the route then the trunks.. then ld 96 dis msdl x all, enl msdl x fdl, that writes the new dch to the msdl.. then ld 60 enll x. the d will auto establish, you should not need to enl the dch

when you put the trunks in, they have to say d channel sig, instead of asking for a start type.. that is the only dif between t1 and pri adding trunks

I see your problem now. You say you have a NTDK09 and daugtherboard, but your CEQU shows you built it as a TMDI...you must have press enter at the TMDI prompt instead of typing NO. Pressing return at the TMDI prompts implies YES (since yes is the default)

DLOP NUM DCH FRM LCMT YALM T1TE TRSH
PRI 001 24 ESF B8S FDL - 00
002 24 ESF B8S FDL 0 00

The 0 in T1TE says its a TMDI, notice how loop 1 shows - in T1TE.

Thank you

You found my error!

Thanks again

Chris

Good catch krooner. is yyr reference to goose bay?

Star for ya.

Thanks for the star.

The name yyrkroon is actually from a fantasty novel "Elric of Melnibone" Yyrkoon (1 r) is a character from the novel. However, you're pretty close with Goose Bay, I'm not that far from there.
