Help with error message

I came in this morning to this error message from our IPO -

Expansion module "DS EXP 30" has changed

This error was from one of my locations on our SCN. It basically caused the system in that building to restart. I ahve a call into my vendor and am awaiting a call back, but wanted to see if anyone here could shed some light on this.

I am at version 4.2.11.

Where is this error displayed in SSA? Also is the unit still visible in Manager and SSA?

That was the error emailed to me - SSA shows this under the Alarms

Date: 5/13/2009 7:12:38 PM
Reason: Abnormal Termination
Termination Cause: <Program E> addr=0000000 d=0 pc=f5989100

Under the Trunks it shows a Yellow Alarm.

The unit is still visible and appears to be working, users needed to login this morning.

Sounds like the power unit may be on it's way out for the expansion module, if it occurs again I'd try replacing it :)

Maybe some one pulled the cable ?
But then it should not be working anymore
The only way to get it working is a reboot of the ipo

Do you perhaps have monitor running ?

I do have monitor running, have to go look - there was no one here at the time of the error... unless the cleaning people found away into the server room - a key I'm sure they don't have

That monitor trace is very imporatant !
Your BP can use this if necessery !

But there is a possibility that the BP did not upgrade the module 1 two steps

The DS16 and DS30 must be upgraded to 3.2.999 first
Also 4.2.14 and 4.2.17 are already out so an upgrade to 4.2.17 is a good thing to do
It has some bug fixes in it

I think the sequence of this was the other way around:

Your IPOffice hit one of it's famous 'exception errors' this will cause the IPOffice to reboot.
After the reboot the alarms 'Expansion module "DS EXP 30" has changed' are always generated for all the DS units that are connected to the main unit.
