Help with email functionality

We have a system has a SQL Server 2000 back-end with an Access 2000 front-end. We would like to have a button on screen to email a report as an attachment that cannot be modified. We also have Outlook 2000. Do you have any suggestions as to how to go about this?

Have a look in BOL at the extended stored procedure xp_sendmail as this might be what you require.

If you are building an Access report, xp_sendmail won't help. You can use DoCmd.SendObject in Access. You can also use Outlook objects in Access. I've created an "Access 2000 SendMessage Function" that you can download from
