Well here is a bit of back ground info. After months and months of studying and hands on experience I think I have a good handle on working with Cisco switches but I've started a new job a few months ago. Now my problem is this place does not have any Cisco switches, plenty or Cisco routers but all the switches are Foundry and Cabletron. The Foundry's are as good as (if not a little better) than the Cisco gear I've used in the past and the interface looks to be copied right from Cisco! However we have dozens of these older Cabletron 2200 and SmartSwitch6000's around the CAN. I haven't been able to find any documentation and or online assistance (I think they bellied up a few years back).
So does anyone know where I can find some/any info on Cabletron gear and more directly - does anyone know how to reset the password on one! I am connected by a console cable and I get to the login screen but I can't get past that. I have punched the reset but but that did not do the trick and I have no way of know what the preivous password is!
