help with analogx proxy

i am using analogx proxy, and it keeps randomly closing. This is getting annoying, because it happens quite often, and everytime it happens i have to hike from the basement to the second floor of my house to start the program again. Can anyone tell me how to
A)fix this problem
or
B)tell me how to make it so the computer automatically restarts the proxy program every time it closes.

If its running on an XP machine, why not use XP's ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) software instead?

As to why it keeps closing - have you looked in event viewer (again presuming XP as this XP forum) to see if there are any entries corresponding to when it closes.

I used to use Proxy before I got win2k and its built in ICS, and never had any problems with it at all - certainly never closed itself down. So, I would suspect you may have other problems on the machine its running on - eg, compatibility issue with a virus checker (but hopefully event viewer will give you a clue).
