Help with 2502 router 2

Hi everyone,
this is my first time posting here.
can anyone be kind to help to reset 2502 router to a factory default.
I'm new to the cisco routers I am trying to do some practice
so eventually I can go for CCNA exam.

I bought 2 used 2502 routers and I'm trying to configure them.
but when I tried to login is asking for a username and password
which I don't have.
any ideas?

well it looks like somebody enabled aaa on your router previously. You will have to do a password recovery but that is good to do especially with you goal of obtaining the CCNA.

What this procedure outlines is changing your router configuration register to ignore the startup-configuration and startup with a fresh config. Understand before starting this task the difference between your startup configuration and your running configuration, your configuration register, and importance of you changing your register back to normal after the procedure. Good luck in your studies and i applud you for doing it the right way!
