Help!! Win98se fresh install.

I am trying to install Win98se (This is after re-formatting the hard drive)on an old Compaq 4108.Everything goes OK until you get to the final screen (the one where it says it is setting up your hardware.) and reboot,then it just comes to a standstill. Any idea's??

Are you using a Windows disk or a Compaq restore disk ?

Have you tried simply pressing "reset" when it freezes? Sometimes the install will pick up where it left off.
