Here's what happened, I was using my computer, using the internet without any problems yesterday. I left my computer on overnight. When I woke up this morning I went to use the internet to check e mail and I noticed the internet wasn't working.
I have a D-Link wireless router. I setup a network with my PC, and my laptop. The PC is connected using Cat 5 cable to the router, and the laptop is wireless. I have a cable modem as well.
I called my ISP, and after sometime he asked me to try to connect directly from the cable modem to the pc, with no router in between. This solved my problem, and I was able to use the internet again.
I disabled both the Windows and the Firewall router. I did not change any settings in Windows, or on the router itself, at all. It just seemed to have stopped working overnight. I don't know how to troubleshoot this problem, can anyone help?
