I will try to paint the picture as well as I can. I have a form with undbound controls which fill by a query. I have a save button on that form. Also on the form is a subform, which of course has "bound" controls. I am wondering, if I place an "unbound" control (say a text box) on the subform, and I press Save (from the main unbound form) is there a way to save the data in the unbound control that is on the subform?

You can reference a control on a subform in this manner

Help please.

I have 6 tables along with their associated forms. The one table is the "master demographics" table (which uses an autonumber to assign a unique ID). On this form, I have 5 controls (one for each of the other forms) that will open the other forms. The problem is that when I click the control and open a form, I want to assign the unique ID that was assigned in the "master form".
Also, if the client has already been entered in the "master form", I want their data to be pulled up when I click on the control to open one of the other forms. I can't seem to get both of these scenarios to work. I hope I am making sense. Thanks
