Any pointers or problems to be aware of would greatly be appreciated.

I have a customer who has approximately 20 remote sites connecting back to their corporate site. Their network is extremely slow, when browsing Network Neighborhood or accessing servers back at corporate from a remote site. All circuits are Frac T1's or bigger.

Each remote site has been partitioned off (NDS) so not to login across WAN boundaries. As far as I know each site has a R/W of the MASTER at corporate.

This is my first visit to the customer but there are somethings that I am aware of after talking to them on the phone.

1. They do not run TCP/IP on their Novell Servers - all IPX 802.3 and each server has a bindery context set as well. However, each PC runs both IPX and IP; also I am not aware of what version of the NW Client they are running (most PC's are Win2K or WinXP Pro).
2. I don't think SLP has been loaded or configured so I am sure there is alot of SAP broadcasts. Am I wrong in thinking SLP and loading/binding IP (on NW Servers) would cut down on the SAP broadcasts?
** I read on Tek-Tips that someone had utilization issues when loading/binding IP and IPX on their servers. **
3. They have no internal DNS servers - they (PC's) are all configured to go to ISP's DNS servers for name resolution. I intend on setting up an internal DNS server and enabling Dynamic DNS. (This would be a good idea?)

Well that is about it. They were having issues with their MASTER server freezing up on them, but I was able to resolve that over the phone by increasing Files=100 in Config.sys and disabling "Client File Caching=OFF" on the server. They had recently installed SP6 on most of their servers (and they did not backup the files during the SP upgrades) - disk space issues they have said.

Any ideas Guys/Gals would be appreciated!
