We've recently set up a server running SBS 2000. I've been attempting to set up exchange ussing a global pop3 account for receving. While we get e-mail I am unable to send mail out, it sits there on the serve and I get a message saying it's delayed and then after what ever time period (I think right now it's set to 2 days) exchange sends a message back to me saying it was unable to deliver.
I've been playing arround with different things and have yet to figgure out what I need to do so any help/ideas would be greatly aprecitive.

Hello,

Did you use the wizard from the SBS-console ?

Peter

Rather than using a global pop3 account have you considered the use of po3 accounts per/user?

Can you detail the what you did and what settings you currently have?

I started out with the wizards but when it seemed to be having problems started looking at a few things...

SmokingMoe,

To answer your question on the POP3-accounts :

to be honest, I prefer using an SMTP-feed, where all mail is send from the provider to the Exchange server which is part of the SBS-suite.

If you should use the POP3-connector, try to use it with a global account, otherwise there is no need for using the POP3-connector. You could setup every users's OUtlook with the POP3-settings as you do at home.

I hope this clarifies.

Regards,

Peter
