Help needed to supress a blank sub report 1

Hi,

Any ideas on how to supress a blank sub-report so that a blank space does not appear in the main report. I'm using Crystal 8.5 and cannot see this option anywhere.

Yes, I used to do it before we upgraded. You have to use a work-round:
a) Copy the subreport
b) Place the subreport in some higher section, and make it as small as possible.
c) Use Shared Variables to pass back a value, that will indicate whether or not the subreport should be suppressed.
d) Use this returned value to determine whether or not to suppress the main copy of the subreport.
