Help me to prompt a server file

Hi forum!

I need to prompt for a server file to the user. I mean, when user click a link then the system popup the classical path window of the server tree directory to choose a file.

It´s possible to do it?
What object and method i got to do this?
And if i want to prompt to save a file in the server?

Thanks a lot for any suggestion to everybody...flac0! My keyboard are on-fire baby! ;)
